About the event

The Belhaven Trout Tournament and Festival is planning an exciting 2 day event to include not only a Fishing Tournament but also a Festival! Our 2-day Festival will include Kids Activities sponsored by Diversity Rentals, a Pig Cook off contest and sales, Raffles, Silent and Live Auctions, and Craft and Food Vendors. You name it - we are going to have it! This is all to help raise funds for the Beaufort Co College Foundation that will help fund scholorships for students that want to work in Marine Trades; Northside High School students that want to attend the BCCC Boatbuilding School; and the Belhaven Community Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center that is instramental in promoting local tourism, which in turn helps our local businesses. 

Registration for Fishing will be on-site of the event starting at 5:00 AM on September 29th. This is a 2 day event! Rules for the Tournament can be found (page coming soon). There is a 3 adult angler per boat limit - exception is a 4 person limit if one is a kid angler (there will also be a kids division) . There will be $6500.00 worth of Cash Prizes awarded on Saturday September 30th (currently set for sometime between 4:00 - 5:00 pm pm). 

Pig Cooking details are also in the works and will be posted as soon as possible. This will be open to 10 Pig Cookers. $100.00 entry fee covers cost of pig. This will be a judges event with Cash Prizes and trophies for the winners. More details to follow. 

Registration for the Craft and Food Vendors will be open no later than July 10th. There is a $100.00 (non-refundable) PLUS a check to the Health Department for $75.00 unless your Food Truck is already Health Permitted Vendor fee for Food vendors - we are limiting to 10; and a $50.00 (non refundable) Vendor Fee for Craft and Non-Food vendors - we are limiting to 20. Sign up and registration instructions will be offered on the webpage after 7/10. The rules are posted under "schedule." 

Accomodations should be made through airbnb.com or vrbo.com. There are also many campgrounds in the area.  For specifics on accomodations, feel free to contact the chamber office. You will be fishing in the 27810 zip code.

The webpage is a work in progress - but to recap - No pre-registration is nessessary for fishing the tournament - just show up anytime after 4:30 am on September 29th to Register and Pay. If you are a Craft or Food Vendor - you will need to Pre-Register with the Chamber. Information about registration will be available on the web page after 7/8.
